Positive: Fantastic apartment. Great atmosphere. A lot of attention to detail. Spacious. Friendly professional host. Proximity to Berliner Tor is great for access to public transport.
Negative: Noisy. Paper-thin walls combined with a salsa club below during the week and stag parties in the surrounding appartments was a sleep killer for us. During the week in the evening we had the salsa club until 10pm. On the weekend we had 2 stag parties in apartments above and next to us. The "rooftop" terrace is shared with the neighbor with however our windows exposed to the terrace and thus to anyone on it. And the windows are as thin as the walls. The ceiling is wooden with no noise insulation. It is a former commercial area which was turned into mostly short-term rentals. During the week, the noise was alright in the night as the other apartments were not occupied. If you have small children, then this is probably not ideal overall. This is quite unfortunate because Roberr has done an amazing job with the apartment, but it is just in the wrong location.
Summary: Lovely, but noisy.
