Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Carlos' property and Luquillo itself. The location is right in the center of town. We could walk to multiple restaurants and the beach was just a couple blocks away. Every evening there was music in nearby bars and spilling out into the streets. The property has been lovingly restored. Carlos explained that it had been his grandparents' grocery store and had fallen into disrepair before he restored it. Everything was clean and brand new, including very comfortable mattresses. . the comfiest mattresses of our travels around Puerto Rico. The bunk bed set up was perfect - leaving the kids plenty of room to move around and sleep comfortably. Carlos was very communicative and gracious. He gave us great recommendations and we enjoyed his stories and the pictures of the property before he restored it.
