The Abbey restaurant, a favourite with local residents for afternoon teas through to evening fine dining can also be found on the edge of the village. The Isle of Man Steam railway also has a station in the village, from here take the train through to Douglas or nearby Castletown and Port Erin. There is also a very frequent bus service with up to 4 services an hour at times to Douglas, the airport and south the of the island.
