Our family runs and manages a bed and breakfast in a small town of Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia. We are 40 minutes away from Penang Island International Airport.
What makes our place special is the natural and peaceful surrounding. Our house is located in a village close to the city but far enough to give this place a quiet and peaceful setting. Plus, being surrounded by lots of fruit trees makes it heavenly during fruit season as we just pick fruits off trees.
We try to be sustainable by growing our own vegetables and herbs. We rear chicken and ducks for their eggs and meat.
We have plenty of rooms, 6 in total where you can opt to stay on your own or bunk with other people. But if the outdoor is more your style, we also haven tents where you can sleep under the stars. We have plenty of living area space and books to read either on our comfortable couch or lying on a hammock under the trees.
Attractions around Kulim includes a natural waterfall, a perfect place to go when the weather is hot and humid. Kulim is a charming small town with old shophouses that has been there for decades. Plus, the night markets are a must to visit where you can find everything from fresh seafood to clothes to decadent street food.
