NEIGHBORHOOD: Ocean Park is a safe gated beach community in Condado, San Juan Metro area. No doubt, best place to stay while visiting Puerto Rico. Within walking distance, you reach Calle McLeary and Calle Loiza, lively streets harboring all types of businesses from chain stores like Walgreens or SuperMax market (open 24/7) to many new and trendy restaurants, surf shops and even a great yoga studio¡. Don´t worry, we will provide you with good recommendations.
At night, Ocean Park is a quiet neighborhood, where you can walk, skate or bike on the streets full of trees and enjoy the breeze coming from the beach.
THE BEACH: Ocean Park Beach is a beautiful and fun urban fine-sand beach. From walking at dawn or tusk to practicing or learning kite-surfing, there is room for everyone and everything. And LITERALLY…30 steps from your doorstep.
PROPERTY: This is a 5,000 sq ft lot located literally 30 steps from the nicest beach in San Juan (Ocean Park Beach) in the corner of calle Italia and calle Malaga. While there is plenty of public street parking, we do have private space for two cars.
PATIO: A quiet large patio, with wood floors, deck-style and beautiful tropical plants surrounding the perimeter. Most amazing is the incredible and incredibly unusual 18 ft mangle type plant right by the pool. She provides shade and a safe harbor for coquís (an indigenous tiny tiny frog very well known for her singing). Pool, plants, BBQ, coquís…all together will make your chill-out nights unforgettable. The private pool, beautiful semi-lounge chairs, outdoor shower, and a dinning-BBQ area with a stainless steel Kenmoore large gas BBQ, table and chairs.
MAIN HOUSE: An easily accessible, modern, vintage and stylish single level 2,000 sq ft house, featuring 4 BR, 3 full bathrooms, dining area with huge table for 14+ guests, family area with a large 55’’ TV, a fully equipped kitchen with washer & dryer area. It has just been fully renovated preserving the original tiles and it comfortably accommodates 8 through 12 (or even 14+) guests. All rooms and common areas are equipped with new quiet A/C split units.
BEDROOMS: 4 bedrooms: 1 large suite with private bathroom, a queen size and 2 additional twin size beds; 1 master bedroom with a queen size bed and private bathroom; and 2 bedrooms with 2 full size beds each, sharing the third bathroom. Top of the line firm mattresses and hotel quality towels and linens. Each room has a large closet.
BATHROOMS: One full modern bathroom serving the suite and two other full vintage style bathrooms serving the other bedrooms. All bathrooms are supplied with champoo, body soap and individual towels: no need for extra luggage¡
DINING: The dining area opens to the patio, the kitchen and the family. It has a really large table accommodating 12+ guests.
KITCHEN: fully equipped with a large refrigerators, combined Microwave/ Oven, Stove, toaster, blender, coffee maker…and dishwasher, washer & dryer. The kitchen integrates directly to the dining area and has also a really large opening and counter facing the ‘chill out’ area in the family.
FAMILY: two large and comfortable West Elm sofas, a futon, a music corner, and a ‘chill-out’ area integrated with the kitchen where you can seat, have a drink, share tapas etc… the raining days… or any other day for that matter. The sofas and the futon converts into really comfortable beds accommodating 3-4 people.
STYLE: The house was built in the 60’s and has been fully renovated preserving key decorative elements such as the original tiles. It is a modern vintage beach house, bathed in natural light, with high ceilings and a wonderful mix of unique pieces of art and furniture. The dining opens up fully to the patio area where tropical plants melt beautifully with the outdoor background marine painting. Really comfortable West Elm sofas in the family room for enjoying conversations or your favorite shows.
ACCESSORIES:
The suite and the dining rooms have smart TVs, including Premium Cable TV (load with HBO).
WIFI Broadband internet is available everywhere in the house and the patio.
The house is fully furnished and fully equipped.
A large water tank assures water supply anytime.
We also provide a large selection of table top games and local percussion instruments
