The direct accessibility to the North Sea makes the area a favorite destination in any season. The area is also home to the traditional fishing village of Hvide Sande, where you can experience a fish auction. You can bid, but you have to be very quick. If you are not lucky, there is also the fishmonger in the harbor. Furthermore, you can surf in Ringkøbin Fjord as well as enjoy the nature in Baggers Dæmning, where two small bridges connect the mainland across the fjord. You will also find miles of bike paths and fishing lakes here. Thorsminde is also worth seeing, beautifully situated on the headland between the Nissum Fjord and the North Sea, the village houses the Strandgutmeuseum Sct. George. In Thorsminde you can fish from the pier and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. At Fjand there are several small harbors that are also worth experiencing.
