Summary: Pascale, the owner was very nice and accommodating. She was happy for us to arrive late and leave early. The house was extremely clean and well furnished. The decor is charming and feels like a home, rather than a holiday-let The layout is slightly odd - the kitchen is the only downstairs room and there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a sitting room with dining table upstairs. There is a covered outside table just outside the kitchen door, so if the weather is good, it would be lovely to eat outside but we only had breakfast there, early on a cold morning, so had to take it all upstairs to eat and take it all downstairs again to clear it away. Not a huge problem but something to be aware of. The first bedroom is a double but a small one. Two of my children shared and it was fine but would be a squeeze for two adults. There was one nasty surprise - it became apparent that we were expected to clean the property before we left and if we did not have time to do that, we would have to pay 30 Euros. This wasn't mentioned anywhere on the listing as far as I could see. It might be that it is expected in France but it was a surprise to us and is not a relaxing way to end a holiday. Having said that, it was really a very nice place and Pascale was charming. I would recommend.
