Positive: Our stay at Camels House Apartment was without a doubt the most memorable part of our Moroccan journey. If you’re searching for an ideal place to experience the stunning Merzouga dunes, this is it. From the very first welcome, Mohammed and his lovely family treated us not as guests, but as friends. Their generosity and care were exceptional—easily the most genuine hospitality we’ve encountered anywhere. They paid attention to every little detail, introduced us to local customs, and spoiled us with incredible home-cooked meals that were far better than anything we ate out. The apartment is large, spotless, and wonderfully situated in Hassilabied, just steps away from the Sahara Desert. The pool deserves a special mention: crystal clear, beautifully maintained, and an absolute lifesaver after time spent exploring the dunes. Mohammed also arranged unforgettable activities for us, including quad biking and sandboarding. Flying over the dunes and gliding down the soft, golden sand was thrilling and insanely fun. What truly made this place special was the tranquility. Sitting on the terrace as the sun dipped behind the Erg Chebbi dunes felt deeply calming, almost surreal—and the sunrise was pure magic. We’ve traveled extensively throughout Morocco, but nowhere else came close to the comfort, beauty, and heartfelt welcome we experienced at Camels House. It truly stands in a league of its own.
