Next to the park is the recreational lake (36 ha) where you can swim and your children can have lots of fun; in the summer months this is a swimming and recreational paradise.

Buitengoed het Lageveld is a spacious family park where you can spend a relaxing time with your family. Not suitable for youth groups. Excursions: Adventure Park Hellendoorn (10 km), Ponypark Slagharen (34 km), Deventer (40 km) and Enschede (40 km). The beautiful town centre of Wierden is well worth a visit. Wierden is also home to De Kolk with its Turkish bath, sauna and whirlpool. As Salland Hills National Park is also a short drive from the park, you can take lovely walks there.
Note: On the last weekend in June, the "Boulevard Outdoor" music festival takes place nearby.
