Assens and surroundings The cottages are located not far from Assens, a bustling and nice 800-year-old trading town that is certainly worth visiting. Here you can feel the wingbeat of history and here the many well-preserved buildings that have been spared from fires are captivating. From Assens you can take the ferry for a day trip to the picturesque island of Baagø, where you can enjoy the beautiful nature and the atmospheric marina. Assens is surrounded by a beautiful hilly landscape. The peninsula Helnæs is located about 15 km south of Assens, here you will find untouched nature, ideal if you like fishing or hiking.
