Welcome to our enchanting log cabin that sits on an acre in the exclusive residential golf community of Fountain Springs, WV.
The large front porch welcomes you inside to cathedral ceilings and a stone and beam fireplace that expands from floor to ceiling with large windows on either side that look out onto the beautiful 18 hole Golf Course and Mountain Views. The main floor kitchen comes fully stocked and has two ovens, microwave, dishwasher, trash compactor, gas stovetop, 2 sinks and a huge walk in pantry. Down the hall is the laundry room and half bath. Here you will also find the master en-suite bedroom, living room with two recliners and reclining loveseat sitting around a large flat screen and propane fireplace to enjoy. Dining area has seating for 6 plus additional 4 seats at the kitchen island. Also 7 TVS are placed conveniently throughout the living areas and bedrooms. There is plenty of parking which includes a large wrap around driveway.
The lower level living room steps out onto a spectacular concrete patio that features a built-in fire pit and endless seating to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Also, on the lower level, you will find two more ensuite bedrooms with(2 queen air mattresses also), an exercise room/work space desk, bike, treadmill and aerobic rider. Lastly a kitchenette/ full bar with a pull-out refrigerator, sink, ice maker, freezer and an island with 4 stools. (2) separate tv's provide entertainment for the family while the guys enjoy the game around the bar.
Enjoy the outside weather sunny or rainy with remote awnings on the expansive upper wrap around deck. Concrete area has a 4 burner grill, a dining table (with umbrella coverage) and a hot tub will be coming soon for you to enjoy!
A short 20 minute ride takes you to either Princeton, WV or Pearisburg, VA where you will find modern conveniences, like Walmart, Home Depot and McDonald’s.
This log cabin offers everything a mountain sanctuary could with the advantage of being close to the bustling New River Valley. Enjoy the 18 hole golf course as well as the community's clubhouse and then grab lunch from the Sandtrap Cafe, noted for Monroe County's best burger. For those who love adventures within a short drive there is kayaking, canoeing, and white water rafting including areas for hiking, fishing or boat rentals.
Many say the best time to visit West Virginia is mid to late spring and late summer when the temperatures are on the milder side. Yet some say fall is the best time because that’s when the foliage begins to turn color.
However, we believe any time of year is the best time to visit West Virginia. Expect average highs from the mid-60s during April to the low 80s in June. Average rainfall can reach up to about 3 inches in May, but don’t let that keep you from enjoying West Virginia’s best spring activities, from the biggest spring events to outdoor adventure for all ages.
