Relax on the balcony and watch beautiful boats idling by, kayak the mangroves, bike Pigeon Key and hike in Curry Hammock State Park. You may also swim at Sombrero Beach and in the wonderful pool. Dinners out at Sunset Grill, Porky’s and Burdine’s are amazing. But the best meals may be on the gas grill at the house.
Watch paddle boarders paddling by and watch dolphins and manatees swimming. The home is also located minutes from the Atlantic Ocean or go under the Vaca Cut Bridge and you are in the Gulf of Mexico. Captain Hooks Marina and Dive Center is right there for fuel and all of your fishing, diving and boat rental needs.
Captain Scott and Captain Lisa with Salt Dance Boat Tours will fill your days with a sand bar charter, snorkeling adventures, sunset trips and more during your private excursion on board their beautiful 23' deck boat. You will enter this spacious 4-bedroom 4-bathroom Pool Home on the second floor with a Spacious Kitchen, Living Room and Dining Room. This is the place to start your morning or enjoy morning coffee on the Comfortable Wrap Around Balcony. On this level you will also find the Master Suite with a King size Bed and Master Bath. Two more bedrooms and a quest bath are also on this level with one featuring a Queen Size Bed and the other has 2 Full Size Beds.
Make your way down to the first floor and stock the Tiki Bar with your favorite libation and enjoy a friendly game of Billiards, Table Tennis or the Island classic "The Bimini Ring". Also on this floor is the spacious 4th Bedroom with a King Size Bed, and full bathroom.
The Pool Bath is located right off the game room along with the French Doors leading out to the Beautiful Pool Deck and Boat Dockage area. Arrive back after a long day on the ocean and relax into the refreshing pool before washing down your boat and cleaning your catch. You will find a Fish Cleaning Table for your convenience complete with water hookup conveniently located away from the pool area. Bait Freezer is conveniently located off the garage. You may also decide to do some night fishing off the seawall, which is when the fish are biting but daytime fishing has landed mango snappers, shark, tarpon, etc.
Whether you bring your own boat, rent a boat or charter a boat there is something for you here. Sombrero Reef is 3 miles offshore for an amazing snorkeling and diving adventure. Fishing and Dive Charters are located within a 5-minute drive by car. Marathon has 2 beaches. Sombrero Beach 4.6 miles and Coco Plum Beach a natural beach only 0.9 mile. We recommend making the drive to Bahia Honda State Park. It is 15 miles south toward Big Pine Key. There is also a Community Park Only 4.2 miles that features Tennis, Basketball, Skateboarding, Soccer, Basketball, Shuffleboard, Boccie Ball and Picnic Areas. Key Colony has Pickleball Courts!
This location also has four restaurants and bars within an easy boat ride!! The Island Fish Company, Keys Fisheries, Burdines Waterfront and also Sunset Grill and Raw Bar. If bringing your boat be careful of the current at Sunset Grill.
The house is only 55 miles away for a day in Key West.
