Wake up to the smell of the sea; nestled in the treetops this beach house is located in the beautiful seaside town of Somers on the Mornington Peninsula. This bright and light home is filled with many indoor and outdoor living spaces with floor to ceiling windows around the large living and dining areas. With only a three-minute walk to the beach and a 15-minute walk along the beach to the Somers General Store for a relaxed brunch or coffee, this lovely beach home is the perfect getaway for couples, family and friends, at any time of year.
This house is fully equipped for holiday living with a bright living room overlooking gardens filled with Australian natives; it contains a freestanding wood fire, TV and DVD player, stereo, reverse cycle air conditioning and heating, with a celling fans and small DVD library and choice of games.
A fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and separate dining area, 8 seat dining table (extendable to 10 seat), dishwasher, large fridge, electric cooker, microwave and everything required for cooking up all the local goodies the Mornington region has to offer.
3 bedrooms: 2 bedrooms with queen beds, and 1 room with a triple bunk and a sofa bed) with built-in wardrobes perfect for 4 adults and 3-4 kids or 6 adults and 2 kids. We also have a travel crib/cot available for a baby or toddler, if required.
The main bedroom also has TV, reverse cycle air conditioning and heating, and in built wardrobe, and its own adjoining bathroom.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed, study area with a desk for laptop, celling fan and inbuilt wardrobe.
The third bedroom has a bunk bed (double and a singe at the top), and a sofa bed perfect for children to play, read or even to sleep for 1-2 persons, inbuilt wardrobes. A portable fan and a heater are also provided.
The main bathroom has a shower over the bath, basin and separate toilet.
Laundry with washer and sink, and you can find the outdoor umbrella and two cushions for reclining chairs in the laundry. Please put them away after use in case it rains.
The balcony/deck area has an a 6 seat outdoor setting, 4 burner hooded BBQ, and comfortable two reclining chairs overlooking the natives garden with glimpses of the sea.
The ground level garden offers lawn areas with an outdoor setting for 10-12, the area is secluded and surrounded by evergreen native garden for those warm summer evenings.
Parking is ample and the roundabout driveway makes getting in and out a breeze.
Neighbourhood
Our house is nestled in the serene town of Somers. It is only a 3-minute walk to the stunning coastline of Westernport bay and is ideal for children and adults alike. The Somers foreshore and Koala reserve is also home to native wildlife, so there's always something to see!
Somers General Store is a short walk away and serves great breakfasts, lunches and coffee, ideal for a relaxing after a stroll on the beach.
Balnarring Village is 5 minutes by car, where you'll find all the provisions you need with a supermarket, butcher, deli and bakery. As well as many restaurants to satisfy any appetite.
The region is always full of things to do and different events throughout the year. Not to mention the huge number of premium wineries and restaurants in nearby Red Hill and surrounds, which are only a 20-minute drive.
