Positive: Staying at Sekitei was such a stunning, relaxing, indulgent experience. My husband and I travel very often, and always try to stay somewhere unique and special (whether it’s a 5-star hotel, or a low-key hostel), and this really exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt like special guests, gently and kindly taken care of at every turn. Our room felt like a home unto itself, a combination of classic Japanese and midcentury modern styling, decorated with unique treasures and books. The private onsen, a walk through the garden before sake tasting in the lounge overlooking the koi pond, a beautiful dinner served in our room, waking up to the view over the bay — every single thing was careful and charming. We’ll treasure our time at Sekitei forever.
