This beautiful home has state of the art security system with 8+ cameras throughout the exterior of the property, two-way video/audio ring bell system, alarms, automatic LED outdoor lights throughout the property, and keyless entry in all doors (including the bedrooms). This place truly is in a perfect location! 1. The beach (Ultimo Trolley Beach) is a mere 4 minute walk from the front door (400 Yards). We have beach essentials Including, but not limited to, Turkish Beach towels, Full-face snorkel mask/set, beach umbrellas, sand anchors, sand-wagon carts, wireless speakers for music, etc. 2. There's two different police stations within a 10 minute walk from the house. 3. There's 15+ restaurants within a 500 yard walk from the house, including, but not limited to BBQ, Seafood, Pizza, Sandwich, Brunch, and even Fast food restaurants. Alternatively, there's several supermarkets nearby, with the closest one being 4 minute walking distance (350 yards) from the house. 4. There's a Park (Barbosa Park) 7 minute walk away from the house (600 yards). In Barbosa Park you'll find the Ocean Park running track as well as Tennis, Soccer, and Baseball Courts. There's also a play area for kids (i.e., slides, swings, etc.) I would not recommend renting a car. For starters, Parking in the tourist areas (e.g., Condado, Isla Verde, Old San Juan) is a headache (and don't even get me started with traffic!). Second, most everything is either walking distance or a short car-ride ride away. Third, the chances of your car being hit, vandalized, or broken into in Puerto Rico are very high. The shuttle rules and hours of operations are as follow: 1. The FREE hours of operation are 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday (excluding all federal holidays). This means that the van HAS to be parked at the property by 5:00 AM to begin the day and parked at the property at 5:00 PM to end the day, so plan your last shuttle pickup/dropoff at 4:30 PM so the van can have ample time to shuttle your party and be back at the property by 5:00 PM. NOBODY WILL DRIVE YOU IN SAN JUAN AFTER 5 PM BECAUSE OF TRAFFIC. Even Uber drivers will ask you where you're heading before picking you up and if it’s a high-traffic area they will cancel on you and leave. 2. Depending on the driver, there may be extended hours Monday to Friday (e.g., after 5:00 PM). This will be discussed with the driver of the day and any parties wishing transportation outside the above schedule (Helpful hint: a tip to the driver usually gets the job done) 3. On the weekends, we have extended hours of operation and we prioritize the following groups: a. Airport and/or Port pickups and drop offs b. Tours outside the coverage area c. Shuttle services within the area of coverage 4. The shuttle service is provided TO AND FROM your listing ONLY. There are no exceptions to this rule as it is NOT a taxi service (if you bribe/tip the driver to give you preferential treatment that's outside of my jurisdiction) 5. Please send a tentative schedule of all your pickup/dropoffs at your earliest convenience that way we can start building the schedule for that week. THE LATER YOU INFORM US OF YOUR PLANS (within a matter of days/hours) THE LESS LIKELY WE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR TRANSPORTATION. Planning ahead is highly recommended. 6. As a shuttle service, the van will NOT wait around for guests since this will cause delays to the remainder of the daily route/schedule. Please do not be mad or offended if the van did not wait for your party because you were not at the designated time and place for pick-up. 7. THE FREE IN-HOUSE SHUTTLE is an added amenity and we DO NOT have any obligation to shuttle guests nor can we control external factors such as: if the van is in the shop for several days, the van is being used for other tours, there are no available drivers to provide transportation, etc. In other words, the lack of shuttle availability is NO GROUNDS for a negative review. 8. Lastly, and most importantly, even though it is a free amenity, EACH passengers is required to provide something of value to the driver in EACH AND EVERY use. For example: a bottle of water/gatorade/food/snacks (seriously, sometimes the schedule is so hectic the driver does not have time to stop for lunch), lose change (e.g., a few/single dollar(s), or even a few quarters!), etc. Our drivers work very hard and spend on average 30+ minutes in traffic every pickup/dropoff they make, so please show them your appreciation.
