Der Altmühlsee liegt in ca. 5 km Entfernung und lädt zum Sonnenbaden, Fahrradfahren, Skaten, Surfen oder Wandern ein. Das im Jahr 2018 neu eröffnete Naturfreibad liegt am Rande von Merkendorf.
