In Trysil there is a golf course (18 holes), minigolf and facility for exercising. The Trysilelva River is rich in fish; you can fish from a boat or from the shore. The versatile river includes rapids and falls for rafting, but also quiet stretches for canoeing; canoes for rent. Wonderful area for hunting and hiking through forest and mountains. Great country roads for cycling. Only 5 km away is the SkiAlpin center Trysilfjellet. Trysil also offers a cross-country skiing network of over 500 km. There is an ice rink in the center of the village. From Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR) in Rörbäcksnäs/Sälen on the Swedish side of the border it is 40 minutes by car.
