The Space
This remodeled 3-bedroom 3 bath oasis could not be more perfect. The cottage was built in 1951, but totally remodeled in 2012, with loving attention paid to every detail. You are ideally located an hour from the bustling city Austin, Texas. The cottage is made equally appropriate for families as it is for a romantic getaway.
As you enter the cottage, you’ll be welcomed by an open floor plan from the kitchen to the dining room to the family room where your gaze meets the tranquil beauty of Inks Lake. We have everything you need: fully loaded kitchen with secondary fridge, two dining tables indoors and more outdoors, linens, propane and charcoal grills, fire pit and more. There is a large flat screened television and DVR (with NO service of any kind).
You’ll be wrapped in a private, quiet oasis, unlike any other lakefront in Texas and includes a spectacular lawn leading to the lake, year-round bird watching from our rock patio; fishing from our dock is usually busy and successful; and two kayaks to explore the open water. If you want to stretch out and read; cook up a delicious meal; sit at your computer and do work in your pajamas, it’s all there, only with more Zen.
The lack of restaurants and bars on the water’s edge keeps the lake cleaner, quieter, and more private than the rest of the Highland Lakes chain. This is exactly why it is the favorite of so many people, there is a genuine charm at Inks that you don’t find elsewhere.
We are driving distance from San Antonio, Austin, Llano, and Fredericksburg, all easy daytrips.
Whether you are looking for a quiet place to swim, renting a boat or cozying up to read a book, this one-of-a-kind, charming cottage is the perfect place for your stay.
