Positive: We were greeted warmly by staff on arrival and every time we left and returned to the property during our visits. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. We had breakfast and an evening meal for each of our 3 days there and the food, particularly in the evening, was excellent. I recommend the truffle ravioli! The room and hotel itself was also very clean. The surrounding area is also peaceful, quiet and relaxing.

Negative: It may not be an issue for everyone but one evening we could smell cigarette smoke in our room. Whether it came from people smoking in the restaurant downstairs or whether it was guests in the room next to us, it wasn't particularly pleasant. People also were smoking in the restaurant, which also wasn't nice when eating. And whilst not as significant, the pillows were not very comfortable and the bed cover/blanket was very thin. To note, there is no lift at the hotel.

Summary: A lovely relaxing hotel with friendly, accommodating staff.
