If the weather is a bit worse, you can use a canopy in front of the apartment to still be in the air and watch the many animals of the farm.
In agreement with the friendly owners of the farm you can be present at the daily feeding of the animals and help a little. Especially for children this is a wonderful experience. A walk with the small horses of the farm could be an absolutely great experience for children.
Furthermore, it is possible to take carriage rides (for a fee) on the farm, both in summer and winter. In agreement with the owner there is a possibility to bring your own horse to the farm during your vacation (for a fee).
