The quayside in Amble has a Sunday weekly market and is home to the Harbour Village where small independent shopping pods sell a range of arts, crafts, accessories, food, and drink. Head to the RPSB reserve of Coquet Island to discover puffins, terns and eider ducks, and take a boat ride around the island to see it from a unique perspective, while wildlife lovers will also relish the chance to explore the Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre and birdwatching opportunities are prominent at Druridge Bay.
Six miles North brings you to the quaint town of Alnmouth, a popular coastal village known for its excellent 18-hole golf course and its charming cycle routes. Further afield brings you into the thriving market town of Alnwick with its medieval Castle and outstanding natural beauty.

Alnwick has various other tourist hotspots including Barter Books and the Magical Treehouse. Another main attraction is the Alnwick Gardens with its stunning landscaped gardens, the famous Poison Garden, and impressive waterfalls.
