Situated on a breathtaking 4-acre beachfront property, Galu Ecolodge offers affordable, inclusive accommodation on Galu Beach, renowned as Diani’s most beautiful stretch of beach. Just outside of the busy part, yet only a 10-minute drive from the town center, our sanctuary is only a few steps from the warm water of the Indian Ocean.
Our accommodation options span from charming private bungalows and cozy rooms to a comfortable dorm and camping/overland facilities. The property boasts numerous lounge areas, a well-stocked beach bar offering an array of beverages, an awesome restaurant, and a unique ‘private’ section of beach.
Sustainability is at the core of our ethos. We are dedicated to operating our business in the most sustainable manner possible. In partnership with Wakijani Eco-Consultants, we work diligently to implement sustainable practices throughout our operations.
Furthermore, we proudly support several local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are committed to preserving and maintaining the pristine beauty of our coastline. By collaborating with these organizations, we contribute to the ongoing efforts to protect our natural environment and ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy the splendor of our coastal paradise.
Galu Backpackers & Ecolodge Policy and Conditions:
Galu Backpackers & Ecolodge requires a 50% deposit (refundable for valid cancellations) to secure your reservation:
Option 1) Within 24 hours of booking provide us with the CVV code for the credit or debit card used to make the reservation. We will charge your card for the valid deposit amount +4% transaction fee.
Option 2) We will send you a secure payment link via our payment processor Pesapal to your e-mail. Simply click the button in the e-mail, and enter your card details and bam. You've paid your deposit and your reservation is confirmed. Please note this also attracts a 4% transfer fee.
Option 3) Send your deposit by M-pesa. If you wish to do so, please let us know and we will contact you to facilitate the payment.
Cancellation Policy: Free up until 30 days before check-in date. 100% payment for any late cancelations or no-shows.
Galu Backpackers & Ecolodge reserves the right to take payment in advance of check-in date, or place a credit authorization on credit/debit cards.
